Beyonder Parent Program
As parents we are driven to help our children realize their potential. We may choose to include creative thinking among the skills and behavior we wish to nurture in them or we may have other priorities. Since 2010 The Beyonder Parent program has run concurrently with the Beyonder Youth program. In 2017 this program was formalized as a complete curriculum and framework that uses creative thinking to support parents as they endeavor to raise a generation of creative thinkers. The Beyonder Parent Program is designed to support parents in the pursuit of their parenting goals by applying creative thinking tools and techniques to the challenges of parenting. The Beyonder Parenting model was created in collaboration with Mark Harling of Yinsight. Together Mark Harling and Ismet Mamnoon published Parenting Up: A do-it-yourself guide to raising adults and created the training programs for parents.

Parenting is a journey that is equal parts joy and frustration. And while it can sometimes feel like an uphill struggle it is possible to tip the balance and to make small changes that can create hope and success. One such small change is simply reframing the objective of parenting from raising children to “Raising Adults.” The modules in this series are designed to introduce simple tools and a framework for “Raising Adults” which is based on more than 30 years of personal research and experience which confirms that while in parenting one size does not fit all – it is possible for parents to take charge and creatively craft the solutions that work for them.
